Dutch artist/designer Inke Heiland graduated in 2002 from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Heiland is the creative force behind the wallpaper menagerie. She originally conceived her whimsical silhouettes as a way to decorate her son's bedroom. Their playful aesthetic brings a touch of humour into any decor. Created using wonderfully eclectic vintage wallpapers from the 1960s and 1970s, these decorative pieces divert from landfills materials that might otherwise be waste. The silhouettes are all hand-crafted in the Inke workshop or at DZB in Leiden.
