Dupenny was founded in 1999 by Emily Dupen-Hopkins and is based by the sea in Brighton, Great Britain. The inspiration for Dupenny's designs come from all things cheeky, with an emphasis on retro themes, curious humour, lovely ladies, and the simple impact of black and white. Dupenny's mission is to make the world smile.

The essence of Dupenny is high quality and attention to detail. Every Dupenny piece is made with love and care from start to finish. Dupenny believes in fun design with a conscience -- using only the best, and where possible sustainable, materials along with traditional printing and manufacturing techniques to provide products of the highest calibre. Designs are initially hand-drawn before being finalised on a computer. All Dupenny homewares are sourced and hand-screened printed in the UK to support the local economy.

Dupenny was shortlisted for the ELLE Decoration British Design Awards (September 2009) and has won the 100% Deisgn Bursary Award (September 2009) and the Shell Livewire Grand Ideas Award (May 2009).
