Brut design was founded in 2006 by industrial designer, Nicola Tardif-Bourdages, the director and owner of Taktik deisgn. Its goal is to reintroduce nature into the human landscape. Since its inception, Brut design has worked in collaboration with local industries to reduce the high levels of waste destined for landfills. Environmental designer, Anne-Marie Saucier recently joined the team at Brut design. Drawing their inspiration from from Quebec's flora, fauna and landscape, she and Tardif-Bourdages employ industrial waste materials and off-cuts to create objects designed to embody that natural imagery, imprinted with a clear regional sensibility.
