A4Adesign studio was established in 1999 by architects Chiara Monti, Giovanni Rivolta and Nicoletta Savioni. After working in some of the most important design studios in Italy and overseas, the three friends decided to establish their own company and label. The company produces unique pieces of furniture, stunning mobiles, and whimsical cut-outs in designs for both children and adults, using honeycomb cardboard. Surprisingly, honeycomb cardboard is an extremely compression-resistent structure. It is very lightweight and very strong, offering almost limitless aesthetic possibilities. The raw material is all reused cardboard, constructed using water-based glue. Each piece produced by A4Adesign is stylish and functional, and not only recycled, but recyclable at the end of its life.
