The ingenious design of the Solio BOLT allows a pencil to be inserted into the centre, with makes the BOLT act like a sundial. Simply point the BOLT towards the sun and rotate it until the pencil no longer casts a shadow. A full day in direct sunlight completely charges the BOLT's on-board long-life 3.7V/2000mAh lithium-powered battery (high-temperature rated). When the useful life of the rechargeable battery is over, it is easily replaceable.

When the sun goes down, the battery can be re-charged via the MicroUSB port by using the USB charging cable (included). From USB, the battery charges to full capacity in 4.5 hours.
